Joseph Stanganelli's Obituary
Joseph “Giuseppe” Stanganelli, 83, of Clearwater, FL, USA, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, surrounded by his wife, son, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece. Joseph spent over 55 years as a skilled mason in the construction industry. Hand building many local hospitals, schools and homes.
Joseph married his wife, Caterina, in 1984, and together they raised one son, Alessandro.
Joseph moved to New York mid 1960’s from his native land, Gioia Tauro, Italy, after serving in the military for his country. Late 1970’s, Joseph along with his brother Girolamo, moved to Florida. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, playing cards, watching soccer and football.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 41 years, Caterina; a son, Alessandro, his brother Girolamo; sister-in-law, Giovanna; a nephew, Ippolito; a niece, Adriana; and his two sisters who reside in Italy, Rosa and Angela Stanganelli. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Ippolito and Caterina Stanganelli; sister, Teresa Stanganelli and brother, Domenico Stanganelli.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 23, 2025, 10:00AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764. Alessandro invites those who knew Joseph to attend.
