Josephine (Sanborn) Hickey's Obituary
Josephine S. Hickey of Dunedin, Florida, passed away recently, after a brief illness.She was born in Rochester,New Hampshire to the late Elizabeth and James F. Sanborn.After graduating from Lasell Jr. College she worked as a model for the Rogers Agency in Boston, MA. She married the late S. Michael Hickey in 1964, and they lived in Brookfield,NH before relocating to Dunedin, FL in 1990. Jo will be remembered fondly by all those who share the memories of the " good old days" skiing at Moose Mt. where she was instrumental in the development of the ski area. She was a ski instructor and particularly enjoyed teaching beginner classes to women.Jo enjoyed a lifelong career in real estate beginning in Wolfeboro, NH and continuing after "retiring" to Florida. To her it was a pleasure and never work. She had a passion for dogs and a great sense of appreciation for all creatures great and small and especially enjoyed interacting with the wildlife observed daily in her own backyard.Josephine was preceded by her beloved husband and one son, Paul J.Cossette Jr..She is survived by her daughter CC Cossette of Brookfield,NH grandson Alex Cefalo and granddaughter Jessica Cefalo of Dover,NH and her precious dog Beau.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Josephine may be made to your local ASPCA.Friends may visit online www.mossfeaterdunedin.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
