Many, many years ago when my Mom was at 8am Mass at LOC she went across the church after Mass to tell Joyce that she looked just like me! Every once and awhile people would get confused and called me Joyce. It brings a smile to my face. Thank you Joyce for all your service to others. Whether it was at Plumb Elementary, the LOC Women's Guild, the LOC campout, Pinellas Hope, St. Vincent DePaul, on and on and on. Joyce was one in a million!!
From teen years to all the in-between years into the senior years. So much time-line history and milestones shared. Passing through town visits. Random phone calls with random meandering topics. Summers of strolling the New York State Fair and rummaging flea markets & kayaking waterways. Simple meals and glasses of wine. Hours spent together looking for misplaced objects from your purse. Obsessive compulsive feng shui to your surroundings and thoughts. Heated debates and wind down laughs. The saddest thought and loss of all is knowing that when the phone rings it will never again be you. Good-bye beautiful Joyce. Beautiful friend. Beautiful soul. Lover of Jesus and strong in faith and beliefs. I have faith that you’ve been taken from us for a much higher purpose and service to the greater good. I hope you’re blessed to be reunited with the predeceased you held dear in your heart
I will always remember Joyce's smile! Every time that I ran into her at Light of Christ Church she was always so sweet to me. Thank you for sharing all of those pictures............so beautiful. Sending love to all of Joyce’s family and friends. She was a very kind lady. I remember her coming over to help Mildred Porter so often. I am deeply sorry for your loss. This is hard to go through but Jesus has her in his arms now.
