Julia Rischka's Obituary
JULIA LESICK RISCHKA, 95Julia Rischka left this earth on February 12, 2014 to enter into the Lord's Kingdom with love and glory. She married Ignatius Aloysius Rischka on January 18, 1941 and together they raised the six children they wanted so very much. Julia loved to cook and through that love taught many people how to make her famous pierogies as well as numerous other delicious and complicated foods like her clothespin cookies. She cooked with love and most times without the exact measure of ingredients but always included her copious amounts of love which made them more delicious. She devoted her life to her children and many others who felt as though she was their mother, too. Julia's talents also included her skill as a seamstress and fashion designer making countless prom dresses, cheerleading outfits and most of the clothing for her family and those she loved. Her generous spirit always put her at the center of wedding planning, bridal and baby showers and any other occasions that required beauty and good food. Julia especially liked to Polka and taught a lot of others the joy that dancing brings. She even danced the Polka with her walker in recent months. She brought happiness and laughter to those around her and always had a kiss and hug for all she greeted making them feel the love she so freely gave. She developed a love of bowling after moving to Florida but bingo always remained her favorite pastime. Julia and Ignatius proudly raised their children with Christian values and high moral standards.Julia was preceded in death by her husband Ignatius of 46 years, brothers Steve Lesick, Michael Lesick, William Lesick and sisters Helen Sox, Nancy Ritchie and Mary Jane Doberstyn. She leaves behind her brothers Frank Lesick and John Lesick, sisters Anne Luce and Evelyn Welton, her children, Frances Lody (Thomas), Robert Rischka (Nancy), Marie Fosbender (Mark), Karl Rischka (Patti), Edward Rischka and Susan Brannon. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Christine Dills (Tim) Michael Lody (Jennifer), Kathy Lody, Eric Fosbender (Leah), Kara Buehler (Justin), Eric Rischka (Kate), Joseph Brannon, Thea Brannon and her great grandchildren, Alexa Dills, Emelia Fosbender, Garrett Rischka, Forrest and Reef Buehler. Her loving ways and generosity will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate to know her but she's dancing the Polka with angels and teaching everyone in heaven how to make the best pierogies ever. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Davie, Florida where she lived for the past 20 years. Her final resting place will be beside her beloved husband, Ignatius (Iggy) at Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna, Ohio. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial gift in her name be given to a children's charity or child in need.In the Lord I put my trust.Psalm 11Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
