Kay R. Degen's Obituary
On September 18, 2022 , Kay Roberta Degen passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Kay was born in New York City, New York on February 22,1939 to Jack Lewis Shook and Georgina Piquet. Kay married Rudolph Arthur Degen in New York City on March 1, 1958. Kay moved to Florida in 1970. She worked for Fortune Federal for over 20 years and retired in 1994. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah McClenning-Walker and her husband Dave Walker of Clearwater, Florida. Her son, John Rudolph Degen and his wife Nancy of New Port Richey, Florida. She is also survived by her grandson, David McClenning and his wife Christina and their children, Alyssa and Jackson of Clearwater, Florida. Her granddaughter, Amy Smart and her husband Leonard of Weeki Wachee, Florida and her grandsons, Daniel Degen and his wife Donnell of Anchorage, Alaska, and Robert Degen and his wife Kayleigh of Palm Harbor. She is also survived by six other great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 22 at the funeral home, 12:00PM-2:00PM followed by a graveside service at 2:30PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. Donations may be made your local Hospice.
