Kenneth P Beaty's Obituary
Beaty, Kenneth Paul; 85, of Dunedin passed away peacefully December 1st, 2013. Born in Lamont Florida, he is survived by his loving wife, Catherine-Marie Beaty of 62 years; his sons Greg Beaty; Steve Beaty and his wife Marie Beaty, along with Grandson Kenneth Beaty. Kenneth was a member of the Elks, and was remembered for having the largest Christmas tree at a house in Dunedin standing over 50 feet tall. Kenneth started his career leaving the farm in North Florida at the early age of 17 working for a pipe laying company, he then shortly after moved to West Palm working for Nehi soda covering a route from West Palm to Ft. Pierce. He then went to work for Service Iron for 10 years doing Iron work and Fencing. Kenneth then made the transition to the job that would become his passion and career, starting in the block Plant for a Rinker Materials, after moving through the ranks and transferring to Cocoa and then Daytona Beach, running his own block Plant, Kenneth moved his family to a new startup company called US Home and the Clearwater Concrete division running their new Block Plant. While at Clearwater Concrete he developed the process that improved the split block along with coloring that maintained its color for zero maintenance and had Countryside Mall and all Wal-Mart's proudly choose his block for their buildings. He then moved on to Fla. Mining that ultimately became CEMIX. Until a year ago he still work part time as a consultant for Fla. Mining. Kenneth's life philosophy was to always take care of others prior to him, Kenneth could always be found helping others. Kenneth's passion for last several years had become his grandson and the Dunedin Scottish Highlander Band. Kenneth could be found at any Band event manning the grill and watching his Grandson perform. Viewing will be held Friday 12/06/2013 from 6-8pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin with a Funeral Mass Celebrated on Saturday 12/07/2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Dunedin at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations in his memory be sent to the Dunedin Scottish Highlanders Band Boosters at 1651 Pinehurst Rd, Dunedin, FL 34698.
