Wonderful honeymoon night when we were picked up at the airport by Ken and then whisked away to a hotel that he had arranged for us. Dinner later that weekend with him. Such a kind and generous man. We love his wife and him, as well as the family. What a great man. What a very sad loss. Deepest sympathies to the family.
Ken and Richard were friends and colleagues in SERVE. He was such a great guy and when we got married, helped us have a very special honeymoon. We will never forget him at the airport, hat in hand to greet us and take us to Clearwater to a local hotel. We always loved Ken and Lisa. We aer so heartbroken!
I have so many great memories of my time working at the Palm, way back when the kitchen was in the front where the bar is now. Bartending there and seeing a gorgeous sunset every night was bliss. Ken was such a great , fun, fair and generous boss. Birthdays will seem hollow with no calls anymore. He was a true Diplomat of Clearwater, and will be remembered as an Icon. Prayers and healing to the family and all that knew him and what we've lost. RIP
My favorite memory of Ken was when we were classmates in Leadership Pinellas. I remember him as a happy, funny guy who loved thinking about the future of Clearwater and how he could contribute to its success. Rest in peace. You made a mark and will be remembered. We enjoyed a fun day on bicycles with Ken & Lisa that included a few margaritas at Molly Goodheads.
I also have fond memories of the time he graciously hosted my college girlfriends and I at the Palm during the Phillies Spring Training.
