Kenneth Gene McNeave's Obituary
Kenneth Gene McNeave of Dunedin, FL passed away September 11, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born on September 19, 1940 in Westminster, MD to the late Robert G. and Ada Hahn McNeave. Ken was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Charles, and William McNeave; and sisters Dorothy Bixler, Kathryn E. "Sis" Long, and Betty Hess. He is survived by sister Evelyn Chevillar and Uncle Nace. He was the devoted husband of his wife Pat, and father of sons Chris, Kenny, and Peter McNeave; and grandfather of Lindsey, Lacey, Elliot, and Hannah McNeave, and Camille Guinet.
In 1959 Ken graduated from Westminster’s North Carroll High School where he played soccer and made many life-long friends. Ken moved his family to Dunedin, FL in 1966 where he worked with his brothers as a plasterer, painter, and with stone and stucco. He enjoyed using all of his construction skills to work on his house which he fully loved.
Bowling, golf, coaching baseball, being a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays and the Bucs, and cooking his favorite foods such as steamed crabs were special passions Ken loved to share with family and friends. He was always known for his quick sense of humor which he used to bring laughter to all even in the most difficult times. He is loved by his family and will be dearly missed by many.
