Kim Denise Day's Obituary
Kim D. Day of Clearwater FL, passed away peacefully in her home on January 23, 2025, in the comfort of family after an extended illness and a courageous battle. Kim had made Clearwater her home for the last 40 years after spending her early life in Waltham MA, where she attended high school, college, and started her professional career. Kim was a kind and considerate person who always made family her priority. She had a life filled with accomplishments and cherished memories.
Kim was a highly educated individual with a passion for reading and continuous learning. She had earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bentley College and an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. She also held a CPA designation and enjoyed a successful career in the finance industry, working for various companies throughout her professional journey.
Family was always Kim’s top priority. She was especially proud of retiring early to care for her parents, Jean and John Day, during their later years until their passing. Her selflessness and devotion to her family were hallmarks of her character.
In addition to her professional achievements and family commitments, Kim pursued diverse interests. She obtained a pilot’s license to fly single-engine planes—a testament to her eclectic interests. Kim was a three-sport athlete in high school, playing tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Post high school, she remained as an avid tennis player and developed a passion for golf.
Kim is survived by her brother Chris and his wife Jennifer, along with their daughters Shannon and Morgan and her niece Nikole Baird and her husband Michael. Kim was preceded in death by her parents John and Jean Day and her sister Karen Day.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 1st. There will be a viewing at Moss Feaster funeral home at 693 South Belcher Road, Clearwater from 11:00 to 12:00 followed by services at 1:00 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 5233 118th Ave N. Clearwater, Fl.
Kim will be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, determination, and the love she shared with those closest to her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
