Leonard J. Glowacki's Obituary
Major Leonard "Lenny" J. Glowacki, of Dunedin, FL., passed on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Manor Care of Dunedin.Leonard was born in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, July 23, 1928 to Josephine and John Glowacki. He entered the United States Air Force in 1950. Leonard was the awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Airman's Medal during his career as a Navigator. He retired in 1970. Leonard enjoyed bowling and was an avid fisherman. He was most proud of being a devoted son and caregiver to his mother, Josephine before she passed in 1985.Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward; sister-in-law Helen; nephew, Robert and niece, Leslie Jo.He is survived by his niece, Karen Gennaro(Vince) of Purchase, New York; nephew, Edward Jr. (Lynn) of Chassell, MI; niece, Laurel Glowacki of Euless, Texas and nephew, Paul (Jan) of Rochester, Minnesota.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin, Florida.Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
