Linda Marie Johnson's Obituary
Linda M. Johnson died on May 25, 2023 and has returned into the loving arms of her husband Carl A. Johnson, who passed in December 2020 as well as her parents Charles H. Ketterer and Mildred A. Ketterer who preceded her.
Linda was a beloved member of her community, having lived in Clearwater, FL since 1968. She had a great passion for St Paul’s Lutheran Church where she filled a variety of roles over the years, but by far her favorite role was as a member of the choir where she helped fill the church with beautiful singing to celebrate her faith. It can be said that the church and family were truly the center of her life. In addition to this, Linda was a longtime (1969) member of the Sweet Adeline’s Show Chorus’ local division Toast of Tampa Show Chorus. Her skills and passion for music were infectious and certainly a highlight of her life was being a member of the Toast of Tampa Show chorus the year they became International Champions, an experience she shared with her daughter, Donna Adams, in that magical year in 1992. Linda also had a passion for travel and just recently returned from a grand Royal Caribbean cruise with her daughter and grandson, CJ Adams, providing memories that will provide great comfort at this time.
Linda worked for over 30 years for Morton Plant Hospital along with several divisions under the hospital which included driving the Mobile Mammography truck and working in the Imaging center.
Linda is survived by her son, Eric C. Johnson and his wife, Anita Johnson of Taylor, Nebraska; daughter, Donna Johnson Adams and her husband, Matthew E. Adams of Reunion, FL; grandsons Austin R. Adams and Cameron J. (“CJ”) Adams of Reunion, FL; granddaughter, Ashley Simmers of Severance, Colorado; and Sisters, Delores Smith of Brick, NJ and Joyce Bargowski of Phillipsburg, NJ. Linda is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was a woman of strong faith, loved life, family, having fun, singing, dancing, swimming and traveling. She was always kind and a true angel on earth and now our angel in heaven.
