Linda Olivia McMullen's Obituary
With the confidence of the resurrection faith, we announced the death of Linda Olivia Hunt McMullen, age 82, on March 11, 2025. Linda was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the first child of the late Allie Watkins Briggs and the late John Edward Cono.
She was predeceased by her first husband of 42 years, Richard Alvin Hunt; daughter, Deborah Marie Hunt McInnes; sister, Lydia Marie Cono Kennedy; grandson, Cody Michael Matkin; and stepson, Trevor Wayne McMullen.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Wayne McMullen; son, Michael Richard Hunt (Heather Lynne Bell); stepson, Troy Elliott McMullen (Amy Lynn Crass); brother, John E. Cono Jr.; grandchildren, Allie Marie Hunt, Jon Michael Hunt, Brian Scott Kantner, Tyler Watson McInnes; Allison Nicole McMullen, and Anne Elizabeth McMullen; grandchildren, Cameron Michael Kantner, Jake Scott Kantner, Katelyn Marie Kantner, Ivy Marie McInnes, and Jayden Allen McInnes.
She served the weary traveler as a reservation specialist at Continental and United Airlines for 21 years. We remember Linda as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her home was a peace haven, where all were welcome to the family table. She was a kind, gentle, elegant lady of quiet faith. Blessed with lifelong friends, Linda was beloved by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church (110 S. Fort Harrison Ave.) in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday March 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The McMullen family will greet friends at an informal gathering immediately following in Roebling Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's preference.
