Linda F. Woodhouse's Obituary
Linda F. Woodhouse, 94, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 11, 1932, in Pelham, New York, Linda was the daughter of the late Carlton and Jane Farrell. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Thomas Hershfelt and William “Woody” Woodhouse, and by her daughter, Katherine Biddle.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Susan Katte (Nick), Helen Avers (John), and Lynda Gorken (Greg); son-in-law Robert “Bob” Biddle; her grandchildren, Christina Brantley (Stan), Matthew Katte (Taylor), Michelle Katte, Taylor Gorken, Kendall Gorken, Griffin Gorken, Reed Avers, Erin Avers, and Jordyn Avers; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
A graduate of Florida State University, Linda dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Morton Plant Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital. Her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to her patients left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Linda was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension in Clearwater and was proud of her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She found great joy in sewing, quilting, knitting, and gardening, and was known among family and friends for her remarkable green thumb. She was also an exceptional baker whose homemade fudge became a treasured family favorite.
Above all, Linda loved her family. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, filling their lives with laughter, teasing, and unconditional love. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Church of Ascension in 701 Orange Street Clearwater, FL, on Saturday July 18th at 1p.
