Louise Lynn Mumy's Obituary
Louise Lynn Mumy, born July 22, 1959, in Monroe, Michigan, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Dunedin, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Jennings and Alice Castellese.
Louise grew up in Monroe and was a proud graduate of Monroe High School. She later began her long and dedicated career with the Jeep Corporation, serving as secretary for the body shop. It was there that she met the love of her life, Robert Mumy. Their bond was strong from the start, and on March 23, 2000, they were married in a beautiful ceremony in Hawaii. They shared 26 wonderful years together.
Louise and Robert recently moved from Temperance, Michigan, to Pinellas Park, Florida, excited to begin a new chapter. Louise embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She loved taking short trips on their Harley-Davidson, crocheting to keep her hands busy, camping in their fifth wheel, and spending peaceful days fishing from their boat. She also enjoyed getting around on her electric bike, always finding joy in simple adventures.
A dedicated daughter, Louise lovingly cared for her parents. She was also a devoted Jehovah’s Witness whose faith was central to her life.
Louise treasured her friendships, especially with her close friends Wayne and Debbie Hojnacki, who held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mumy; Three step daughters, Nichole (Kenny) Donaldson, Sommer (Brad) Vriezelaar, Amber (Eric) Johnson, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her sisters JoAnn (Paul) Maddux and Jacqueline (Tim) Nusbaum; and is preceded in death by her sister Chris Jennings and great niece Aurora Christine Whitson.
Louise will be remembered for her gentle soul, her loyalty, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held private.
