I have just learned of Louie's passing this morning. I feel like it was a dream. I was waiting for him to come round the corner and into the shop, and he just didn't come. Over the years I was lucky to have Louie as a friend and trusted and best mechanic. I would pull into his lot, he'd come over and had so much concern about my car, he also wanted to know how I was doing. He was truly a great man and is surely missed. I only learned of Louie's passing today and have been remembering a friend (and best mechanic) of many, many years. The last time saw Louie was only a couple of months ago when, while he was out test driving a car, he noticed that my brake light was out, followed me home and insisted that I drive back to the shop where he fixed it. He did not want me to get a ticket. What a nice man he was. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Rebecca Pyle, Dunedin, Florida

Louie was one of the first people I met when I moved to Florida. He used to come and see me on Friday's for Happy Hour at Chic-a-Boom. That was in 2002. He always had a smile and a hug for me from that day forward. God Bless you Louie. There is only one Louie Lopez and we were lucky to know you!

Louie had the best laugh, and I will miss that and his big bear hugs. He helped me so often with my car. He was very caring and always asked about my daughters welfare.
