Macie Galloway's Obituary
GALLOWAY, Macie 94, passed away May 12, 2015. She married Ken Galloway in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Macie worked for DuPont Co. as a lab tech for 37 ½ years before retiring on June 30, 1982. She moved from Delaware to Lake Como, FL in 1982 and then to Lake Placid, FL in 1987, and most recently to Largo, FL in 2013. She started volunteering with Florida Hospital Lake Placid (FHLP) in 1989 and the RSVP Lake Placid Care Center in 2004. She also delivered meals for Nu-Hope for 15 years. Macie was a 27 year parishioner of Eastside Christian Church in Lake Placid. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday May 18th at Eastside Christian Church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Eastside Christian Church or a charity of one’s choice.
