So sorry to have read of her passing. I was a childhood friend of her granddaughter Tracey. Her and I swam just about every day in the summers at Bennys . Mae was a very sweet person. Because of her, I love sauerkraut, handmade Christmas ornaments and grandfather clocks. She would stop by and take me with her on bike rides when Tracey moved. I remember the first time she asked my mom, “ can Maria go bike riding w Me”. I’m 57 now and cherish the memories I have w Mae, Benny and Tracey.

Vinny here. I was privileged to first meet dear Mae a few years back, as I volunteered at bingo at my church. Mae was a regular! Then a number of years after that, I helped her with some miscellaneous chores, a number of times, inside and outside her home in Village on the Green. Her friendliness and kindness toward me were very much appreciated as well as her unforgettable dry wit and sense of humor. Many memorable laughs were shared between us as I performed my chores at her home. Mae is greatly missed!
