Marcia Florence Alexander's Obituary
Marcia Florence Alexander, 81, passed away on February 14th, 2024, at home in Clearwater, Florida. Marcia was born on June 9th, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the 1st of 2 children to Stanley Selecki and Florence Keszycki.
Marcia attended St Ladislaus Catholic School, Madonna High School, Franciscan Nuns of Chicago, and Loyola University. Marcia earned a bachelor's degree in education and began working as a teacher because she wanted to help children learn. Alongside her job, she was an excellent and loving homemaker. She retired from teaching in 2008. Once retired, she enjoyed spending more time with her family & church and caring for animals. She married her husband George Alexander on May 29th, 1966, at the St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. Upon moving to Clearwater Florida, she was a parishioner at St. Catherines of Siena Catholic Church for 38 years. Marcia was involved with the Right to Life group, and was very faithful & spiritual, believing deeply in the teachings of the Catholic Church. She was loving, loyal and protective. Family meant the world to her, and her marriage & birth of her children were the most important events in her life. She enjoyed holidays, cooking, & reading, and loved Hillsong United, Mamas and Papas and Andreas Bocelli.
Marcia is survived by her husband George, sons Michael & Gregory (Jona), daughters Marcianna & Georgette (Chad), sister Claudia (John), grandsons Alex, Jacob, & Christian, and childhood friend Connie Nemec. She is preceded in passing by her parents Stanley & Florence Selecki, and her daughter Michelle Alexander.
