Margaret Mary Hughes, age 63, of Gulfport, FL died 12/13/24.
She was born in Grand Rapids, MI, in 1961 to Edward and Rose Mary Hughes, moving to Florida in 1964. Margaret was a 1979 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School. In 1985, she graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Education. Margaret helped shape the lives of many students in middle and high school, retiring from Gibbs High School after 20 years.
Margaret was preceded in death by son- Noah, nephew – Phil, father- Edward, and is survived by son – Nick, daughter – Ali, grandson – Dayton, mother -RoseMary Hughes, sisters: Veronica (Stan Bryant) & Liz (Kevin Burkart), brothers: Bryan Hughes (Lori), Greg Hughes(Clarissa), Matt Hughes(Kim), Tony Hughes (Jessica), Tim Hughes (Kym) & many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass is 12/28/24 @ 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7851 54th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709 and the Celebration of Life is 12/28/24 at 4pm @ Slyce on Madeira Beach - 662 -150th Ave, Madeira Beach, FL 33708.
