She graduated from Wittenberg University pursing her desire to be a Kindergarten teacher. Shortly thereafter she married Richard White “Dick” and began their family and adventures together. She spent her lifetime raising and loving her 5 children and continued that love for their 5 spouses, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Family was everything to her! She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and was active in every parish she belonged to including the past 38 years at St. Michael the Archangel even when she was in her 90’s. Peggy was a doer! She was an active lifelong member of Alpha Xi Delta and always working on something for someone, whether it was a church bazaar, school activity, sewing a Halloween costume or outfit for her grandchildren, caring for Dick during his declining years or simply concerned for one of her loved one’s well-being. She will be remembered by so many for her “can do” attitude that kept her strong through many tough struggles. Peggy is survived by her children Ed and Sandy White, Margaret Anne and Dick Davies, Barbara and Rene Colmenares, Mary Chris and Lamasi Peterika, Cathy and Paul Graham and their families. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her honor to Florida Suncoast Hospice in gratitude for their care that enabled her to remain in her home as she wished.
