Margaret "Peg" Rothwell's Obituary
Margaret (Peg) Rothwell, nee Warters, 91, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Elmira, NY, passed away on May 22, 2024, due to complications from dementia. She is survived by her son Ken Rothwell and daughter-in-law Virginia Rothwell of Melville, NY, her daughter Roxanne Zawko of Clearwater, FL, and her granddaughter Kelly Rothwell of Melville, NY. Predeceased by her husband William and her grandson Kenneth Zawko.
Peg was the first retail manager of The Summit Corp in Berlin, CT, a company founded by her husband, William Rothwell, in 1971. The company was later acquired by American Greetings Corp, where Peg continued to excel as a manager until her retirement in 1999.
She enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling, knitting, and crafting. Peg was known for her unassuming nature, talent, generosity, and for being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
In honor of Peg's memory, the family has chosen not to hold a formal service. For those who wish to pay tribute, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association. https://www.alz.org/
Hopefully a cure will be found soon.
