Margot Mudge Tench's Obituary
Margot Mudge Tench left this world peacefully on April 18, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Margot was born on July 5, 1933, in Port Chester, NY. She was the daughter of Arthur Warren Mudge and Margaret Rathbone Wood. Margot lived in Mamaroneck, NY until the age of seven and then Greenwich, Connecticut. Here is where she experienced diverse social and educational influences. As a young mother she relocated to Arizona and ultimately Florida where she settled on the gulf coast. She raised her family in Belleair before moving to her final home in Seminole. Margot was a loving wife to her husband, Robert Ryan Tench and a pillar of strength and support for her family. She raised 7 children: Arthur (passed at age 7), Peter, Christopher, Stewart, Margaret, Amy and Melissa. Margot was always there to offer support, guidance and humor to family and friends. She cherished family gatherings and her presence at the holidays and celebrations brought happiness to those around her. Margot had many passions in her life; she especially loved to read. This attribute certainly facilitated her in obtaining her nursing degree from St. Petersburg Junior College at age 51. She enthusiastically worked as an open-heart nurse and nursing supervisor for twenty plus years.
Margot is survived by her children, Peter Erickson, Christopher Tench, Stewart Erickson, Margaret Harrison, Amy Nelson and Melissa Allen. Also, her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
