Marguerite Frances Freeborn's Obituary
FREEBORN, Marguerite “Peggy” Frances (Mueller), 84, of Dunedin, died August 1, 2015 at her home. She was born in New York City, and grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. She graduated from the Hartridge School in Plainfield, NJ. She attended Oberlin College and Peabody Conservatory, and graduated from the Manhattan School of Music. She came to Dunedin in 1957. Peggy was a homemaker and violinist, who played in many orchestras and quartets. She was a member of the Junior league of Clearwater-Dunedin, Dunedin Fine Art Center, and Carlouel Yacht Club. She enjoyed all aspects of the arts, including painting and stone sculpture. She was an avid world traveler and animal lover. She was predeceased by her husband, John B. Freeborn. Peggy is survived by her son, John F. Freeborn, and daughter, Alison K. (Edgar Harris) Freeborn, both of Clearwater, FL, and her grandsons, Oliver Allen and Benjamin Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dunedin Fine Art Center and the Florida Orchestra. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
