Marie Padgett Thomas' Obituary
Marie Padgett Thomas, 99, of Hayesville passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Clay County, but had lived in Florida for approximately 40 years before returning to Clay County 20 years ago. Marie was a homemaker and attended the New Life Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Glenn Guy and Flora Belle Smith Padgett and the wife of the late Gene Thomas, who died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Harold Lee Thomas.
Surviving are her daughter, Joy Tillery and husband, Ed of Hayesville and Holiday, Florida; two grandchildren, Kristin Pauley and Darla McGarry; and two great granddaughters, Julianna Pauley and Samantha Mastridge.
