Marilyn Overmire's Obituary
Marilyn Rose Overmire departed this life on February 4, 2025, at the age of 78, in Safety Harbor, Florida, where she had lived for over 50 years. Born on April 2, 1946, in Rochester, New York, to Yolanda and Samuel Petrano, she had three siblings: Donna, Butch, and David.
Marilyn was a devoted mother to her three daughters and their husbands: Kristina and Don Sarvis, Jennifer and Scott Roan, and Melissa and Rick Fenton. She had a long and diverse career, with one of her most notable accomplishments being the creation of Arunningstoller.com, which became a leading online retailer of baby jogger strollers. Marilyn was an ardent sports fan, passionately supporting the Tampa Bay Rays and the Florida State Seminoles. She was also an exceptional cook, best known for her delectable fried chicken and potato salad, which became family favorites.
She is survived by her beloved partner of 29 years, Julio Diez-Arguelles; her brother, David, her daughters; her grandchildren: Taner, Corinne, Rachel, Alexandra, Katie, Casey, Ryan, Patrick, and Nolen; her great-grandchildren, Kai and Lorelai; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dog, Zoey.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on February 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM, at the home of her daughter, Jennifer Roan. In accordance with her wishes, the family has chosen not to request memorial contributions.
Marilyn's warmth, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep dedication to her family will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
