Marjorie Ranney's Obituary
Marjorie L. (Day) Ranney was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on May 14, 1929 to Francis Day and Zora Fredrickson Day. She married Richard Ranney in 1950 and was divorced in 1978. Marjorie graduated from the University of Iowa and taught school until her retirement in 1991. After retiring she moved to Florida where she remained until her death on November 23, 2014. Marjorie was a member of the Presbyterian Church and served on its Session. A lifelong member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, she was proud to have served that organization in various capacities over the years. Marjorie is survived by four children: Beth Hansen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Louise Srofe of Clearwater, Florida; Timothy (Janna) Ranney of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Jonathan (Alejandra) Ranney of Boynton Beach, Florida. Marjorie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Meredith, Robert (Mary), and Kathryn Hansen; David, James, and Mia Ranney; Andreea Ranney and one great grandchild, Amelia Hansen.
