Marjorie D. Tym's Obituary
Marjorie D. Tym “Marj” 95, was ushered inter her eternal heavenly peace Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, Florida by a loving and caring staff.
Marjorie was born January 26, 1922, the daughter of Mary Williams Dawson and the stepdaughter of Clarence Dawson of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Marjorie lived most of her adult life in Centerville, Ohio moving to Palm Harbor, Florida in 2013 to be close to her sons, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Leon Tym in 1996.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Lee, Roy, and Ron; her sister Dayl; and her beloved grandchildren Alissa, Forrest, Allison, and Miguel; great-grandchildren Parker and Madison; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed by her presence, love and faith. Marjorie was a devout believer in God and Jesus Christ and saw her purpose as being a witness to others. She was a dedicated, loyal, and selfless mother and wife. She had a smile and warm way with everyone she met and knew.
She enjoyed many friendships. Corabelle Phelps was her main sidekick of many years and they enjoyed many of life’s daily adventures together (Lucy and Ethel had nothing on them). When you asked her how she was doing, the answer was always “fine,” with a smile. She will be missed greatly yet joy is felt knowing she is with her heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
A visitation from 11 am to 12 pm with funeral ceremony beginning at 12 pm will be held at Meyer Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home in Centerville, Ohio on Thursday, March 2, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, 45429.
