Mark Andrew Conda's Obituary
Mark Andrew Conda, 56, passed away on Friday, March 22nd, 2024 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida after an unexpected and serious health crisis.
Born August 6th, 1967, to Judith and Andrew Conda in Tampa, Florida, Mark loved the outdoors and was full of adventure. He loved to swim, dive, skateboard, bike riding, and playing soccer. In his mid-teens, Mark spent a summer in California and had the chance to "bag some peaks" in the San Gabriel Mountains. In due time Mark became his father's favorite and most challenging tennis opponent.
After high school, Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of South Florida. He gravitated towards helping disabled adults live independently, first as Support Coordinator for the State of Florida and then as a Support Coach for 15 years with Pinellas Care Systems in St. Petersburg. He was a compassionate caregiver and a warrior for these individuals to be respected and able to make their own decisions whenever possible. Many times Mark assisted the parents of these folks during times of crisis and/or decision making.
Blessed with a pleasant disposition and a great smile, Mark handled most problems with ease. As an adult he continued to bike ride and was an avid reader, spending much of his free time reading for pleasure as well as being a student of philosophy, religion, and politics.
Mark is predeceased by his father, Andrew Conda of Tampa, Florida. He is survived by the rest of his immediate family: Carol Conda, wife of deceased Andrew; his mother, Judith Conda Crenshaw and husband William Crenshaw of Clearwater, Florida; siblings Andrea Judith Conda of Clearwater, Florida; Deborah Ann White of Orlando, Florida, and Joseph Jay White of Galveston, Texas, cousin, Carolyn Besnier of Brandon, cousin George Conda and wife Melissa of Valrico, cousin Marie Waldeck and husband
