Marvin Jarrett's Obituary
JARRETT, Marvin , 64 of Clearwater passed away peacefully on December 10, 2015. Marvin was born in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Clearwater in 1965. He attended Clearwater High School ,and Saint Petersburg College. Marvin retired from Publix Supermarkets after 19 years and was previous owner of Marv’s Meats in Clearwater. He also worked at his parents’ supermarket in the late 1960’s named Skycrest Supermarket. Marvin is preceded in death by his wife of 41 year and the joy of his life Kathryn Jarrett. He is also preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Feola of Clearwater and parents Averel and Rachel Jarrett of Wva.
He enjoyed cruising, traveling, golfing, wood working, watching college sports and hosting family pool parties. He is survived by his brother Keith Jarrett of Palm Harbor, Florida and his two sisters, Patty Tersigni of Rochester, NY and Mary Spoeneman of Largo, Florida.
A visitation is planned for Sunday December 13, at Moss Feaster , 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, from 4 to 5 pm. A service will take place Monday December 14, at Moss Feaster at 1pm by Pastor Emily Oliver of Skycrest United Methodist Church of Clearwater. Graveside internment is scheduled at Sylvan Abbey for 2 pm on December 14. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children Research Hospital at [email protected] Memphis, TN.
