Mary M. Christoff's Obituary
Mary M. Christoff, 95, of Dunedin, FL. passed away October 8, 2025. She was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Florida in 1985 from Roseville, MI. Mary was a devout Catholic and remained involved for years with her parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin. She attended daily mass, served as a Eucharistic Minister, supported the RCIA program, and was a member of the Rosary Society. Mary found joy in handmaking rosaries and giving them to her family and friends. She took great pride in cleaning and organizing, and she was extremely handy at fixing things. Her loved ones recall that she made thousands of rosaries for other people, and enjoyed cooking and baking in her spare time. Of all the sweet treats she made for others, they will especially miss tasting her famous anise cookies, apple cakes, and banana bread. Most of all, Mary will be remembered by all who loved her for her bright and contagious smile.
Mary is predeceased by her husband, Sylvester Paul Christoff; her son, Paul Christoff; her parents, Anthony and Bedia Tocton; her brother, Anthony Solomon; and three sisters, Theresa Solomon, Louise Lang, and Rosie Elliott. She is survived by her three children, Theresa (Chan) Tinkle, Bedelia (Frank) Prainito, and Duane (Melissa) Christoff; her sister, Antoinette (Jim) Springer; seven grandchildren, Christine, Marie, Cori, Kelly, Nicholas, Kendall, and Zachary; and six great-grandchildren, Philip, Peyton, Andrew, Nicholas, Greyson, and Jacob.
A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 am on Monday October 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin, FL.
A second funeral mass will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday November 6, 2025 at Saints John and Paul Catholic Church in Washington, MI. Interment will follow at Ressurection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
