Mary Lou Freytag's Obituary
Mary Lou Freytag, 77, of Dunedin, Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother unexpectedly passed on May 24, 2020.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Freytag Jr. Mary Lou and John lived and raised their family in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania and retired to Florida in 1995 settling in Dunedin, Florida. Mary Lou and John had a love of travel, visiting all 50 states, travelling internationally, and celebrated their love on their 50th wedding anniversary with a family cruise with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Mary Lou took great pride in her family and will be missed by her sister, Clydora Fowler, daughter Karen Freytag, son John Freytag III and granddaughter Emily, daughter Brenda Freytag-Cook and husband Rick Cook, grandsons Daniel Cook, Anton Cook; grandson TJ Cusatis and wife Amanda, and great-grandsons Bentley and Isaac, and granddaughter Melissa Peterson and husband RJ, and great-grandson Kolton; and a lifetime of extended family and friends.
Mary Lou was born on May 4, 1943 to Clyde and Alice Stafford and grew up in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. Her parents and brother, Robert Stafford, preceded her passing. Mary Lou was a graduate of Sharpsville High School, class of 1961 and Sharon Nursing School in 1964. She earned her Registered Nursing degree and worked as a RN at Sharon General Hospital. Mary Lou was active in the community serving as an election volunteer, scout troop leader, and as a member of Sharpsville Methodist Church.
In recent years Mary Lou and John have enjoyed spending time with their family on Honeymoon Island and watching sunsets from their balcony. Her kindness and compassion will be remembered by her loving family and dear friends. Please say a prayer for Mary Lou and keep our family in your hearts during this difficult time.

To honor her life the Freytag Family will hold a visitation on Saturday, May 30th at 10 AM, with a chapel service to follow at 11AM. Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, Florida is in charge of the Funeral arrangements.
