Mary Griffin's Obituary
Mary Theresa (Healy) Griffin, 87, of Dunedin, Florida passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. Born April 24, 1938 in Loughill, County Limerick, Ireland Mary lived a life of faith, love and deep devotion to her family.
In 1960, Mary courageously emigrated from Ireland beginning a new chapter filled with hope and opportunity in Brooklyn, New York where she remained for nearly 40 years.
In 1962 she married her love, Peter Griffin, who had also emigrated from their home village of Loughill. Together they built a family with a son, John, and daughter, Maureen, and a home that was welcoming with warm Irish traditions.
In retirement, Mary and Pete relocated to Dunedin.
Mary was a caring and deeply religious woman whose gentle spirit touched all that knew her.
She is survived by her two children, seven grandchildren and three great grandkids. Mary was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
A service and celebration will be scheduled for December in her home village in Ireland.
