Mary L. Lewandoski's Obituary
Mary Louise Lewandoski, 66, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away suddenly on September 25, 2021 due to a heart attack.
Mary Lou was born on August 16, 1955, to James and Henrietta (Spahn) Oldenburg in New Brighton, PA. After graduating from New Brighton Area High School in 1973, Mary Lou was married, had two children, separated from her husband, and worked multiple jobs to support her daughters as a single mother. In 1990, Mary Lou achieved her dream and graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing from Community College of Beaver County. After almost 30 years of caring for patients, first as a cardiac RN in Beaver, PA and then as a psychiatrist RN in Dunedin, FL, Mary Lou retired in 2020. Since then, she had been enjoying traveling, gardening, painting ceramics, and spending as much time as possible with her 5 wonderful grandkids.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Sallie (Keith) Martin and Sarah (Marty) Davis and her 5 grandchildren, Katelinn, Zoe, Devin, Zaylee, and Zane. Her beautiful smile and loving personality will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
As per Mary Lou’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or funeral service. She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in Lake Erie and Key West at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mary Lou’s memory to Suncoast Animal League in Palm Harbor, FL or McGuire Memorial Home in New Brighton, PA.
