Mary Elizabeth Rilling, 100, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. Mary, a beloved Florida native, was born on May 16, 1924, in Tampa. She spent a lifetime enriching the lives of those around her. A cornerstone of her life was her family. Mary was pre deceased by her husband Jack Rilling. She was a devoted mother to her five children: Scott Teets (Denise), Steve Rilling (Patty), Liz Schalk (Glenn), Pat Rilling, and Joy Cohen (Steve), as well as a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren (Amanda, Jessica, Andrew, Lauren, Jason, Tommy, Ashley, Jennifer, and Shelby) and four great-grandchildren (Devin, Jase, Blair and Izzy). With a spirit for adventure, Mary traveled the world, experiencing diverse cultures and creating lifelong bonds. Mary found solace and passion in the simple pleasures of life, as she cherished spending quality time with her family. Her creative talents shone through her passion for quilting and needlepoint, producing beautiful works of art. Mary’s life was a testament to strength, resilience, and a zest for life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Clearwater.
