Maryann Jean Lucania's Obituary
Maryann J Lucania was born on October 26, 1942 in Bayonne New Jersey to parents Charles and Carmela Lucania. Maryann attended College of NJ receiving her BA in Education and Montclair University where she completed her MA in Education. Maryann was a Business Teacher at Elizabeth High School, Elizabeth NJ, for over 40 years. She moved to the Tampa area of Florida in 2015 to be close to her family and sunny weather. Maryann stayed very involved in social groups being part of The Golden Ages in her hometown of Bayonne and Retired Teachers Association of NJ. She was also a member of the Montclair University Alumni Association. Maryann was strong in her Catholic faith and was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church of Tampa. When not keeping busy with her groups she enjoyed needlepoint, arts and crafts, family and traveling.
Maryann went home to the Lord on October, 23, 2017. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Carmela (nee Mattaliano). Survivors include her brother, Charles and sister-in-law Teresa (nee Donovan); nephews, James and his wife Megan, Bryan, and Kevin and his wife Andrea; great niece, Charlotte; great nephew, Henry. A memorial service will be planned at a later date at Migliaccio Funeral Home in Bayonne New Jersey at http://www.migliacciofuneralhome.com/.
