Mauderine Bailey Poole's Obituary
Mauderine Bailey Poole (nee White), also known as “Maude” and “Margie”, died unexpectedly following successful surgery at Bayfront Medical Center on July 22, 2017 in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 80.
Mauderine is survived by two sons Montie Ray Bailey Jr. and his husband Robert Johnson of Clearwater, Florida, and Michael L Bailey of Leesville, Louisiana; her brother Allen L White (Becky) of Largo, Florida; grandsons Sean Bailey (Tara) of Gulfport, MS, Montie Ray Bailey III of Pueblo CO; Curt Johnson of Orange City FL; and Grant White of Sandusky OH; granddaughters Kimberly Bailey of Smiths Station AL, Lori Johnson of Orange City FL, and Kelsey White of Cleveland OH; great grandchildren Cyrus, Kyla, Gabriel, Ella Rose, and Alayna Rae; and many nieces and nephews.
Mauderine was preceded in death by husbands Montie Ray Bailey Sr., and Joe Poole; by two sons Charles Bailey, and Mitchell Bailey; by granddaughter Lauren Bailey; by parents Lloyd and Johnnie White; by sisters Jeanette Butler (James - deceased), and Anita Sanderson (Roger), and by brother Eugene White (Mary Mitchell).
Mauderine was born March 20, 1937 in Geneva, AL to Lloyd and Johnnie White, and was raised in Bradenton FL. She was a housekeeper for Carlton Arms of Bradenton until her requirement in 2001, when she relocated to Largo FL to be near her son.
She was an active mom, sister, grandma, aunt, cousin, great grandma and friend to many. She loved playing canasta and dominoes, being mom and grandma, and one of her greatest pleasures later in life was reading and watching the movie versions of The Twilight Saga. She was Team Edward all the way.
Mauderine was an active and a dedicated member of the Mission City Church in Largo FL. She enjoyed the church ladies’ weekly get togethers.
At her request, there will be no funeral or services scheduled. She will be buried later in Bradenton FL, near her youngest son.
