Maureen M. Michaels' Obituary
Maureen M. Michaels, at 70 years young, was called to her heavenly home at Brookside Suncoast Hospice House in Palm Harbor, Florida on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Born March 18, 1942, in Kenmore, New York, to John and Arletta O'Connell, Maureen was raised an only child and lived in the Western New York area for over 40 years before settling in Dunedin, Florida. She worked as a bank teller both in New York and Florida. In her retirement, Maureen volunteered as a patient therapy clown at Mease Countryside Hospital. Maureen loved playing the piano, was creative with ceramics and quilting, and an avid member of Silver Sneakers at the Palm Harbor Wellness Center. She also cherished caring for her dog, Beamer. Maureen will be long remembered for her sharp wit and carefree, youthful spirit.Maureen was the devoted wife of 48 years to Robert S. Michaels, loving mother of her two sons, Robert T. Michaels (Leah) and John G. Michaels, and adoring grandmother to Lindsay E.
