Maurice H. Wedeman's Obituary
Maurice “Skip” Wedeman died peacefully February 25, 2024, on his 90th birthday surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife, Anita, and 6 children, Joseph, Michael, Francina, Timothy, Anne-Marie, and Barbara. He has 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice Henry Wedeman and Evangeline Cloetta-Lopez Wedeman , and his half-brother, Jonluis Wedeman.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, son of Maurice and Evangeline. He was a Pilot in the US Air Force and loved to fly. On November 9, 1957 he married Anne “Anita” Vandenberg at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. Together, Skip and Anita shared 66 years of marriage.
After the military he worked hard to provide for his family and became a computer engineer. He shared his Catholic faith by word and deed, his laughter at every opportunity, and his passion for flying by building and flying RC planes with his children and grandchildren.
He is dearly loved and greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at St. Cecelia Catholic Church on April 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
