Mellanee Parker Shea's Obituary
Mellanee Parker Shea, 86, of Plant City, Florida passed away on August 28th, 2021. She was born in Clearwater, Florida on November 29th, 1934, to the late Thomas Alvin & Anna Laura (Lee) Parker. Mellanee was a lifelong resident of Clearwater. It’s here where she met her husband, Joseph “Bob” Shea, and the two were married in January of 1950. Bob predeceased her in February of 1995. In her free time, Mellanee enjoyed bowling and playing poker. She was also a great cook and loved to entertain, but above all, she loved having her family close to her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mellanee is predeceased by her sister Faye Crawford and brother Willie B. Parker. She is survived by her daughters Cindy (Jim) of Plant City, and Cecelia (Tom) of Clearwater, her son Joe Shea of Largo, her sister Jackie Cole, and her three grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 from 10:00AM-12:00PM, with a chapel service following at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Clearwater Cemetery.
