Michael E Edwards' Obituary
Michael Edwards, 55 of Seminole, Florida passed away on Saturday June 26,2021 at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, Florida.
Michael was born on October 16, 1965 in Columbus , Georgia to parents William and Wallace Parker Edwards. As a child in a military family, he traveled often but settled in New York until moving to Florida in 2004. Michael loved his country and served in the US Army from 1985 to 1993 serving as a tactical communications officer and a field communications technician. Throughout his service he was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Marksman Expert Badge(rifle), Expert Badge(grenade) and Army Lapel Button. Following military service Michael loved to keep busy and learn new challenges. He did work in transport and warehouse management. He was very proud working for the LED lighting company Garden Lights. While at Garden Lights he was able to design and manufacture many types of landscape business and home lighting fixtures. He helped put assembly line processes in place and always kept his workers first. For a time, he loved working with his brother on tractor trailer semi trucks as on cross country mover.
Michael was a family man who loved his wife and his kids, he was a great husband and "Papa". He was always there for friends and family and was always just a phone call away for advice on almost anything technical. He enjoyed cooking, being the grill master and the baker. Many family and friends loved his signature meatballs, potato salad and famous deviled eggs. He enjoyed spending time at the beach on vacation or camping at Starkey Park for Thanksgiving. Michael had a huge heart, he loved his country and everything that makes us Americans, from parties and family gatherings, to food and great classic rock.
Michael is pre deceased by his father William Henry Edwards; sister Lisa Marie and niece Regina. Survived by his wife Leslie; daughters, Heather, Amber( Christopher), Christina (Meghan), Michelle (Ryan) and Holly (Chris); grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Aubrey, Whitney, Alexis, Riley, Lily, Paisly, Bailey, Liam, Michael, Lexi, Daren, Damen, Aleta and Faith; Parents, Larry and Dean Harris of Lake City, FL.; brothers, Michael (Christie) , Billy; sisters, Gail(Stephen) and Jolene (Jerry) and many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday July 10, 2021 at 11 am at The Christ Church of Universal Love, 11699 130th Ave, Largo FL. 33778. A luncheon and gathering of fellowship will be held immediately after at the church.
