Michael McWilliams' Obituary
Michael Alan McWilliams, of Clearwater Florida, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Celia McWilliams of whom he shared 29 years of marriage.
Michael was born on December 13, 1952 to the late Mason McWilliams and Loretta (McMahon) McWilliams. She survives.
He graduated in 1971 from Deerfield High School. While in Deerfield, he served on the school board, participated in bowling and golf leagues, and could be found on most Friday nights working as part of the "chain gang" during the high school football games. He was a dedicated Michigan fan by being a season ticket holder for many years. Mike was also very keen on keeping his cars clean, which was inherently a trait his father also withheld. In his years of life he celebrated many milestones, like marrying Celia on February 14, 1994, retiring from General Motors, and delivering papers for the Daily Telegram after he retired. He moved to Florida in 2019 to live out the rest of his days.
Mike is survived by his wife Celia, his three sons, Kurk, Kyle, and Kris (Pamela) McWilliams, three daughters, Kelly Strong, Rosaura Littleton, and Liz Gonzalez, two sisters Cathy (Tom) Horak and Jan (Roger) Mueller. Mike was also blessed with six grandchildren, Camden McWilliams, Bailey and Breanna Algood, Damien Johnson, Amanda and Demi Gonzalez and great-grandchildren, Jayden, Adrion, and Alana along with many nieces and nephews. Family was everything to Mike. He loved family gatherings.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, FL. A memorial service is pending.
