Michael Roy Sutton's Obituary
Michael Roy Sutton, 73, of Safety Harbor, Florida passed away from complications of COPD on July 22, 2022, at Mease Countryside Hospital. He was born on February 18th, 1949, in Plattsburgh NY to Vincent Joseph & Phyllis Harriet (Currier) Sutton. Michael enjoyed taking long walks, collecting coins and stamps and being with family. He loved the city of Poughkeepsie where he lived for many years and helping Barbara and Tom on their farm in Rhinebeck. He was a recovering alcoholic and was very proud of his many years of sobriety. He was also very proud of his high school and college education and his job as an account clerk. His life was a challenging and difficult one, but he never gave up. He loved his family and was loved in return. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Vincent & Phyllis Sutton and his brother David Sutton. He is survived by brothers James Sutton (Margaret) and Steven Sutton (Kimberly Cripps), sisters Cynthia Holcombe (Kenneth Holcombe), Barbara Sutton (Thomas Burke) and Karen Sutton, aunt and uncle Constance and Robert Quinn, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
