Michael T. McEvilly's Obituary
Michael McEvilly, 82 of Palm Harbor, Florida, died on Friday, September 20, 2013. "Mike" was born in County Mayo, Ireland. After his immigration to the United States, he served in the USAF during the Korean War. In those years he met the love of his life, Kathleen Casey; they were married in 1956 and lived in Chicago where they raised 5 children. Mike worked as a plumber and was active in Irish culture and social groups. His love of Irish music and dancing continued after his retirement in Palm Harbor where he remained active with the Irish community. He was well known for his broad smile, hearty laugh and Old Time Irish waltz.His parents, brother and one sister preceded Mike in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, 4 daughters: Eileen (Kirk) Wilfinger; Patricia (Dr. Kevin) Ronan; Margaret (Peter) Walsh; Maureen (Mick) Carmody; a son: Michael and 13 grandchildren. His sister, Theresa Navin of Co. Mayo, also survives him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral Mass will be held at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm with interment at All Saints Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. "Goodnight and joy be with you all".
