Michele H Schwartz's Obituary
Michele H Schwartz, 81 of Clearwater, FL passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017 after facing and battling many health issues over the past several years.
Michele was born in Bagneux, a suburb of Paris France to Germaine and Julienne Fraysse on December 1, 1935. She and her family endured many difficult challenges living in German occupied France during World War II, having to relocate to different areas throughout France to survive.
In 1955, while working in a military armory in Rochefort, France, she met Dieter Schwartz, a US Army soldier who was stationed in France at the time. They spent much of their free time together while he was in France. After his military duties were completed, Dieter came back to France to ask Michele for her hand in marriage. They married in 1957 in France, and moved to the United States. She left behind her entire family to devote to her husband and new life, setting roots in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As a young woman of 22 years old, in a foreign country, her love and devotion to her husband was evident as they started their own family in 1958. Michele had an incredible work ethic and commitment to the family, not only in raising her children, but by working wherever she could find jobs to help support the family and provide more for her children.
Together with her husband, they built and ran an electronics-manufacturing company in Wisconsin for many years before embarking on a mission to build their dream home in St John, the US Virgin Islands, where they lived before moving to Florida.
As the matriarch of the family, Michele was generous, patient and kind, and was always actively present in the lives of her daughters and granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dieter of 57 years. Survivors include daughters, Monique Schwartz and Simone Fisher, granddaughter, Ashley Fisher, sister Ginette Payen, brother Andre Fraysse, and many friends all over the world who knew and loved her.
