Michelle Steinberger
“Thank You For Today”
Michelle Simone Steinberger, 63, of Dunedin, FL passed away on January 28, 2024. Born on October 23, 1960, in Point Pleasant, NJ, Michelle was the beloved daughter of Gilbert and Jeanette Collot. She is survived by her husband, Michael Steinberger with whom she shared a love story of 36 years., their three sons, Tom, Evan, and Matt Steinberger, her brothers Gilbert, Drew and Richard and his wife Cheryl and a host of loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families, and dear friends with whom she has shared love, support and wonderful memories.
Michelle graduated from Albright College (BA) and Monmouth University (MBA) and began a successful career of 23 years as a bank Trust Officer with her last 16 years at First National Bank of Chester County, where she was Vice President. She was highly respected in her field and was always well liked by her customers and colleagues.
Mike and Michelle purchased a four-unit rental property in 1999 and upon her retirement in 2012 purchased three more properties which Michelle managed until Mike’s retirement in 2016. She was always an equal partner in the business and the one the tenants liked best.
Devoted to her family, neighbors, and friends, Michelle was a “Super Mom,” raising her “Irish triplet“ sons, handling all school duties, working full time and always making a home cooked meal for dinner. Her home was always open to all. It was usually "the-place-to-be" for her sons' friends, who she made sure were well-fed with her famous lasagna, pork roll egg and cheese sandwiches, pineapple soufflé and crème puffs. She actively supported her sons Scouting endeavors seeing them all through to Eagle Scout.
Michelle’s inner and outward beauty was evident to everyone who met her. Always a welcoming smile, a pleasant demeanor, and ready to help anyone in need, anywhere, any time. People were naturally drawn to her and she accepted them for who they were, and showed the same love and respect to all.
Michelle had a passion for cooking, traveling, walking in parks with Mike, her sons and Bolt, and visiting family and friends. She found joy in sharing meals with loved ones and exploring new places.
In 2019 she was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. When asked by the neurologist how she felt she replied, “I’d rather not have it, but I’ll have to make the best of it.” As with every challenge in her life she took it head on, never complained and continued to live with grace and dignity. No matter how much she lost to the disease it could never take her sweetness, kindness and love for others. She was truly an Angel.
Michelle was a devout member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL. Her faith was an important aspect of her life and brought her comfort and guidance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the church, 2281 State Road 580, Clearwater, FL 33763. Public visitation will start at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Michelle's memory to a charity of your choice.
Michelle will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and loving nature touched the lives of many. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
