Michelle York's Obituary
Michelle York, 46, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on May 28, 2026, at Morton Plant Hospital.
Born in Clearwater, Michelle was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Countryside High School in 1997. She was known for her vibrant personality, strong passions, and love for simple joys that brought happiness to those around her. Although medically disabled, Michelle embraced life with enthusiasm and dedication to the things she loved most.
Michelle had a deep affection for Disney, enjoying pin trading and being a proud annual pass holder. She collected Dopey figurines and treasured the memories she made during her many visits. In her younger years, she was active in ice skating, softball, and color guard while in high school. Later in life, she enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, especially alongside her fiancé, James Pion.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Michelle was preceded in death by both sets of her grandparents. She is survived by her loving fiancé, James Pion; her parents, Robin and Rolf Kunigonis; and her sister, Kim Conroy.
Michelle will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unique interests, and the joy she brought to her family and friends.
