Mildred B Huff's Obituary
Mildred Huff joyfully left this earth to join her Lord, husband George, and daughters Sheryl and Gretchen on January 4th, 2016
Mildred was born in 1916 in Holland, Michigan as a child of Dutch Immigrant parents. She attended Houghton College in New York and after graduating she and George served as missionaries to Sierra Leone, West Africa. Mildred eagerly tells of her adventures in Africa and could still recite John 3:16 in the Limba language, as she demonstrated on Thanksgiving Day. They faithfully served in various Wesleyan churches and served at their alma mater, Houghton College.
Retiring to Cape Coral, and later to Dunedin, Florida, Mildred was involved in church building and Kingdom work as she supported and prayed for everyone around her. She prayed especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who cared for her at Palm Garden of Clearwater were also prayed for and appreciated very much. She was a true Prayer Warrior.
In celebration of her life, a reunion is planned in April on what would have been her 100th birthday. Family and friends from across the US are invited to attend and honor her legacy.
A memorial service is planned at her beloved home church of Harborside Church in Safety Harbor, Florida on Sunday January 10th, 2016 at 5PM.
