Muriel L. Arnold's Obituary
Muriel L. Arnold (Hills), 82, of Clearwater, passed away January 11, 2018 in Hudson, Florida.
The family will greet friends at Moss Feaster Funeral Home on Belcher Rd. in Clearwater on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 6:00 followed by a memorial service at 6:30
A longtime resident of Clearwater, Muriel was born in Wellsville, New York to Marvin and Lela Hills on December 30, 1935. She attended high school in Wellsville and earned her Masters degree in education, specializing in music and elementary vocal education at State University of New York at Fredonia.
After relocating to Clearwater in 1961, she began her career as a music educator in the Pinellas county school system. She taught elementary music at several schools throughout Pinellas county. Prior to her retirement in 1997 she especially enjoyed her many years being specifically assigned to Skycrest Elementary.
Post retirement she extensively traveled internaionally with the Clearwater Senior travel group. Her cruise experiences were legendary. At home she enjoyed music, playing bridge, going to movies, and spending time with her cats.
Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lela Hills of Clearwater, FL and a brother Donald Hills.
She is survived by her brother Lawrence Hills of Florida, son David and daughter in law Eileen Arnold of Land O Lakes, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pinellas, 3040 FL-590, Clearwater, FL 33759.
