Myrtle Faye Overcash's Obituary
Myrtle Faye Overcash (Shaw) 96, was born on August 4, 1914 in Clermont, Florida, and passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. She moved to Clearwater as a young child, coming here by horse and wagon. At a very early age, she began her love for music and became an accomplished pianist and organist playing for many area churches and functions. She graduated from Clearwater High School where she met and married the late Kenneth Lee Overcash of the pioneer Overcash Family of Dunedin. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.She is survived by her son, Dr. Ronald Gene Overcash and wife Sue, of Arcadia , Fl. and daughter Marsha Lane Johnson and husband Don, of Safety Harbor. She had six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church. There will be a gathering of friends, Monday, February 21, at 10:30 am with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, 1015 Sikes Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33815.Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dunedin, FL.
