Safety Harbor lost one of its most special People when Mrs. Nancy L. Hundley passed away last Saturday 1/9/2016 . Nancy Lee Hundley was Born July 18, 1938 in Lynchburg, VA., The Daughter of Ralph and Rosebud Dowdy, the oldest of 6 children. Nancy will be greatly missed by her Beloved Companion of more than 30 years, William E. Broschart. Nancy is survived by her children, Roy L. Hundley, III, Rebecca J. Gouzoulis, Aaron P. Hundley & his Spouse Wendy J. Hundley, her sister Norma Pulley, Her Brothers Ralph C. Dowdy and Michael Dowdy and her sister in law Myrt Dowdy . Nancy will be joining her other son David J. Hundley, Who passed away several years ago. Nancy is also survived by her Grand Children¨ Christopher, Kristy, Melissa, Michael, Emily, Elaina and Andy and by her 7 Great Grand Children. Nancy enjoyed being with her Family more than anything and always put her family’s needs above her own needs.
Nancy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed people, socializing, laughing, penny slot machines, she was always in a good mood, always up beat and always happy no matter what was going on in her life and in the world. Her children used to call their Mother, known as Nanny Lee, when they weren’t feeling well, were a little down due to a life situation and they used to say “I need to call and get a Dose of Mom” so I can feel better. That’s The “Nanny Lee” in a nut shell.
A private memorial will be held in Maryland at a later date.
“Our Nanny Lee” was the glue that held our family together and we will ALL miss our Mom – Companion - Grandmother – Great Grandmother – Sister -Very Much!!!
